Can You Transfer Money from Venmo to Cash App?

There is no official “send to Cash App” button inside Venmo. You use a bank (or a card) as the middle step.

Method 1: Bank in the middle

1. Transfer from Venmo to your bank (Chime, a traditional bank, etc.).
2. Wait for the standard deposit, or pay for instant.
3. Add that money into Cash App from the same bank.

Method 2: Cash App as the “bank”

Cash App provides routing and account numbers. Some people add those details in Venmo as a bank so a Venmo withdrawal lands in Cash App. Setup is pickier, and Venmo may reject some fintech routing numbers. If it works, it is the closest thing to a direct path.

Method 3: Card

A Cash App debit card can sometimes fund a Venmo payment, which moves value from Cash App toward Venmo — the opposite direction of the headline question. Useful to know so you do not mix the two up.

Fees stack if you use instant on both sides. Plan a day ahead when you can, and never use these workarounds to pay a stranger for goods you have not received.
